PEX Tubing Sizes

PEX tubing comes in various sizes and lengths to fit the needs of the consumer. PEX is commonly available in 1/4″ through 1” Copper Tube Size but some manufacturers produce PEX all the way to 2” in diameter. PEX tubing comes in coils that generally run to a maximum of 1000’. The tubing also comes in straight lengths of a maximum 20’. PEX systems are sized in the same was as copper or CPVS plumbing systems. This means that the fittings are compatible for use between systems.

Each size of PEX tubing will also have its own sized crimp rings and fittings. Special tools will also need to be bought depending on the size of the PEX tube used.
